Join us on Friday, June 26 at 100 Linden Square Drive in Bristol, VA to enjoy a complimentary lunch and meet some very special guests during our Donor Appreciation Day celebration.
Visitors will have the chance to meet Cory Cardwell, a bright 12-year-old who was born with Sideroblastic Anemia and has relied on blood transfusions from area blood donors his entire life. He’ll be stopping by to show his appreciation to our Bristol donors and to encourage them to continue sharing the gift of life with patients like him. And be sure to stop by 11:00 AM-1:00 PM to meet some of the brave members of the Bristol Fire Department. Our younger guests will even have the chance to explore an active fire truck!
In addition to sharing the gift of life, donors will also have the opportunity to give back to their community with a financial or clothing donation to Communities in Schools, an organization which works on behalf of underprivileged students in rural Virginia. Your donations will help provide school clothes for four local students.
Be sure to keep an eye out on Facebook and Twitter for details on all of the day’s events!
